Description
Mochi is a 6 year male pure-bred Fox Face Pomeranian (neutered). He is a very loyal companion and loves attention from his emotional support humans. He enjoys going on walks, playing with toys, chasing balls, and snuggling on the couch. He is very easy to train and walks nicely. He is VERY good at telling you when he needs to go out to use the bathroom, so he would be fine to live in an apartment.
We rescued Mochi in 2022. We were told he stayed in a back room with no bed and access to the outside. He slept on hard tiles and developed calluses on his elbows (they are mostly gone now because he has lots of fluffy beds). We suspect he may not have been socialised as he is very anxious when new people come to the house. He barks loudly or hides when he is scared. He is very nervous of people he doesn't know and terrified of little kids who always try to touch him or pick him up. He is okay with other dogs and not aggressive. He is not a fan of cats. We suspect he was bought as a toy more than a pet, and that children were allowed to maul him and this is why he is afraid of them. A year ago we had a beautiful baby boy who wants to be Mochi's friend. However Mochi is really afraid of him and is missing the level of attention he was receiving before.
Mochi would thrive in a home where someone is home often, as he suffers from separation anxiety due to his past. He is a very loyal dog and once he decides that you are his person, he will be there at your side through everything - he is an excellent companion. We want to ensure that Mochi has the best life possible and want to see him get all the love and attention he deserves. He truly is an adorable little guy with a big heart.

- Someone with experience with dogs
- Someone who is home a lot
